BACKGROUND

Dr. Michael R. Murchland graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy and earned his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. He completed his dermatology residency training at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas, and a dermatopathology fellowship at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology in Washington, D.C.

PROFESSIONAL

Dr. Murchland proudly served over 25 years in the United States Air Force, where he held leadership roles including Chief of Dermatopathology, Chief of Medical Staff, Medical Squadron Commander, and Chief of Dermatology Services for the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium. Following his military career, he continued in private practice in Ohio and Central Florida.

He is Triple Board Certified in Dermatology, Dermatopathology, and Mohs Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery. His special interests include skin cancer detection and treatment, surgical dermatology, and dermatopathology, with a commitment to both surgical excellence and cosmetic outcomes.

PERSONAL

Beyond the practice, Dr. Murchland enjoys boating, RV travel, and spending time with his wife of 37 years, their adult daughters, and grandchild. A lifelong dog lover, he currently shares life with Olive, a boxer/terrier mix, and Moose, a spirited Shih Tzu.
