WHAT IS A NECK LIFT?

A neck lift surgically tightens muscles in the neck, chin, and jawline, firming the neck area, and recontouring the skin. A neck lift also corrects the appearance of and a double chin.

WHO SHOULD CONSIDER A NECK LIFT?

Most adults in good physical condition may be eligible for this procedure as long as they have no conditions that are contraindicated. A neck lift is designed for individuals who are bothered by loose skin, jowls, and bands on the neck and want a more youthful appearance to the neck and jawline.

HOW IS NECK LIFT + RENUVION® SURGERY PERFORMED?

Our neck lift surgeries are performed at a certified outpatient surgery center for your safety and comfort. Small incisions are camouflaged under the chin and behind the ears. Every procedure is customized for the patient, but usually, liposuction is used to remove any unwanted fat from the jaw line and beneath the chin. Muscles under the chin are tightened, and the skin is repositioned to contour over the muscle tissue, removing any excess skin.

We are the only Plastic Surgery and Dermatology practice in Brevard to perform our signature neck lift + Renuvion®, a groundbreaking technology that tightens both skin and deeper layers with gentle radiofrequency heat delivered under the skin to turn back the hands of time. This has allowed us to perform surgery through very small incisions hidden from view.

This procedure produces a more defined and youthful profile and a dramatic rejuvenation of the entire facial region. The procedure takes one to three hours to perform. You may also choose to have additional procedures such as blepharoplasty or eyelid surgery performed in combination with the neck lift.

RECOVERY FOLLOWING A NECK LIFT

Most patients require one to two weeks to recover from a neck lift surgery, and we recommend that you take as much time as possible to optimize the healing process, which varies among individuals. It is normal to experience some soreness, swelling, and a sensation of numbness and tightness in the skin in the first one or two days after the surgery, but these symptoms gradually diminish on their own in a few days. You must keep your neck and head elevated as much as possible during the first 10 days following the procedure. Our patients recover in a custom support garment, which is worn night and day for two weeks, followed by nightly for an additional four weeks to support and protect healing tissues.

WHAT IS THE COST OF A NECK LIFT IN CENTRAL FLORIDA?

The price of a neck lift will vary among patients based on the extent of surgery and any other procedures combined with it. Health insurance will not pay for cosmetic procedures such as a neck lift.
