WHAT IS PRP THERAPY?

Your blood is essentially made up of four components: red blood cells, white blood cells, plasma, and platelets. PRP therapy is a proactive cosmetic treatment that utilizes a patient’s own blood platelets, nutrients, and growth factors to trigger new cell growth, improving the condition and texture of the skin, as well as the hair (if used on the scalp). HOW IS PRP THERAPY ADMINISTERED?

We combine microneedling or laser resurfacing with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy to achieve results without surgery. During this procedure, blood is drawn from the patient and then processed through a centrifuge machine to isolate the platelets with the understanding that platelets contain healing qualities and growth factors that rejuvenate the skin as well as connective tissue, such as tendons, ligaments, and cartilage.
