Restylane Lyft® in Melbourne, FL
The aging process may cause excessive loss of volume and definition in the cheeks and mid-face region, leaving a flat or sunken facial contour that adds years to your appearance. Restylane Lyft®, a dermal filler in the Restylane® family, is formulated with larger molecules to achieve a more dramatic lift and enhancement and contains lidocaine to minimize any potential discomfort during treatment. Restylane Lyft® is available for residents of Melbourne, Indialantic, Viera, Brevard County, the beaches, and surrounding areas in Central Florida at Dermatology + Plastic Surgery, led by board-certified dermatologist Anita Saluja, MD, and double board-certified plastic surgeon Rebecca Novo, MD.
We are skillful, artful and thoughtful in our injections. Additionally, we may use Accuvein vein finder to diminish the risk of bruising during the procedure, as well as advise you to use post-procedure Ocumend Gel Pads or Teoxane Deep Repair Balm to hasten recovery.
What is Restylane Lyft®?
Restylane Lyft®, formerly known as Perlane-L®, is an injectable filler used to increase facial volume and diminish wrinkles in the mid-face region. Restylane Lyft® is a premiere dermal filler approved by the FDA to specifically lift the cheeks and augment volume to correct nasolabial folds that extend from the corners of the nose to the mouth.
How does Restylane Lyft® work?
Restylane Lyft® is a hyaluronic acid-based dermal filler similar to others in the Restylane® family. Hyaluronic acid is a substance that our bodies produce naturally that increases volume and hydration in the skin while lubricating the joints. Hyaluronic acid can absorb and hold 1,000 times its own weight in water, and this ability to retain moisture is what makes it produce smooth, hydrated skin. Hyaluronic acid fillers, such as Restylane® and Juvederm®, enhance volume in the facial region, smoothing out wrinkles and lifting sagging skin.
What makes Restylane Lyft® different from other dermal fillers?
Like many dermal fillers on the market, Restylane Lyft® is composed of hyaluronic acid. The primary difference between Restylane Lyft® and other products is that the molecules of hyaluronic acid in the Restylane Lyft® formula are larger than those found in most other fillers. This allows Restylane Lyft® to support, lift and augment areas of the face that require a heavier, denser formulation. Restylane® Silk, Restylane, and Restylane Lyft® are designed to work perfectly as complemental therapies to one another.
How are Restylane Lyft® injections administered?
The firm, smooth Restylane Lyft® gel is injected into the deep layers of skin to increase volume and help restore surface contour and definition. Restylane Lyft® results produce volume augmentation for about six to twelve months before the product’s natural process of degradation begins to diminish the effect.
How should I prepare for Restylane Lyft® injections?
No real preparation is required for Restylane® Lyft treatment. Prior to treatment, your medical history will be assessed, and factors such as any other injections you may have received recently or any medications you may be taking will be taken into consideration. You may need to postpone Restylane® treatments if you have any infection or inflammatory or cystic acne until the condition clears up. Prior to the treatment, please inform us if you are on blood thinning medication or supplements or if you have a history of lip herpes.
