Why Botox® for Lips?
If you are not ready to take the lip filler plunge, we have another great option to enhance your lips subtly with Botox®! Botox® is a muscle modulator that is used to relax fine lines and wrinkles with results lasting up to 4 months. It is generally used in areas such as forehead, crows feet or between the eyes (glabella), but can also be injected above and below the lip to achieve the “lip flip.” Botox® is injected around the mouth to relax this perioral muscle (a circular tightening muscle) and consequently allows the upper and lower lip to relax flip more outward.
If you’ve never tried a lip enhancement with HA fillers (Juvederm®, Volbella®, Vollure®, Restylane®), and are curious to see what your lips will look like before committing to a long-lasting treatment, the Botox® lip flip would be a great starting point.
