Laser Resurfacing Providing Excellent Results

We are very excited to share with you some of our results from our laser resurfacing procedures.

We have been seeing excellent results using our fractionated CO2 and Erbium lasers, alone or in combination, to customize each patient’s treatment to achieve their goals. Whether it be improvement in fine lines or deeper wrinkles, scarring, complexion, or pigment (brown spots), we can provide a unique plan for your skin.

This is still the gold standard for diminishing wrinkles and spots and the added health benefit is treatment of actinic keratoses (precancers).

CO2

What it does: Small microscopic heat channels are created in the skin, stimulating collagen around them to reduce lines and creases 30-50% with one treatment.

Erbium

What it does: A more superficial ablative laser, Erbium causes the skin to regenerate leaving a smoother, more uniform appearance. When used alone it has a slightly faster recovery than CO2, usually about 5 days.

Our special Ingredient:

Alastin. We can’t keep it on the shelves. What is it and what makes it so great? Alastin is FULL of special ingredients: antioxidants and peptides, as well as arnica which reduces swelling and bruising.  It has a proprietary ingredient, the only product on the market, which actually stimulates elastin (the skin’s elastic fibers).  Patients are starting this product two weeks prior to laser resurfacing and surgery, and are finding it incredibly soothing, and speeding up their recovery.

Procedure:

Topical anesthetic x 1 hour, then treatment (looks like a computer system), skin looks like it has a tiny grid on it

Improvements continue for up to 6 months as collagen remodels.

Fractionate & Fill is a great combo of laser and filler for older patients.

Baby C02 (a gentler treatment with shorter recovery) is a way to get rid of nearly sun damage for younger patients.

Example:

This patient of ours had CO2 resurfacing in Combination with Erbium.  The post procedure photograph is 9 days after. She is thrilled with her results and agrees she looks 10-15 years younger!

We recommend a solid week for down time for laser resurfacing, after which time you can apply makeup. You will continue to see improvement for weeks to months as the pinkness fades to reveal beautiful new skin.
